92 of this repo's 96 tracked files were under `target/`: `.rustc_info.json`, `CACHEDIR.TAG`, cargo lock files, and the whole `debug/.fingerprint/` tree with its per-crate `invoked.timestamp` and `dep-lib-*` markers. They were committed by a `git add .` run made before a `.gitignore` existed. The real source is four files: `Cargo.toml`, `Cargo.lock`, `ctr/Cargo.toml`, `ctr/src/lib.rs`. `/target` is now ignored. The deletions are `git rm --cached`, so nothing is removed from disk — and here nothing needed removing, because the working tree's `target/` was already empty, which is why the whole tree showed as deleted in the first place. |
